Many changes on the forefront for the Paolacci household. I have been trying to get a job at Phoenix Children's Hospital for the about the past 9 months. I LOVE my job in scrapbooking, but the hard core reality is some months I can pay my bills and some months I can't. And when you have a family of 8+ it is very stressful to play the guessing game of what your commission might be each month. I used to care for an elderly couple overnight and it was the perfect job. Because I could be the mom and the sales rep by day and nursing assistant by night. But then Marge passed away and that job was over. So I have wanted to get on nights at the hospital so I can still be mom and sales rep by day and nursing assistant by night. And the best part about the hospital is that I only have to work 2-3 nights a week to be full time and get benefits. I knew when they hired me I would have to do a 40 hour clinical orientation. Which begins tomorrow. So it is going to be a crazy busy week. Hospital by day and sales calls by night. Luckily Don is going to be taking my kids to California this week for a little back to school getaway.
"Phoenix Children’s Hospital will become one of the largest children’s hospitals in the country.
Phoenix Children’s Hospital has provided hope, healing, and the best health care for children and families since 1983. Today, Phoenix Children’s is one of the largest children’s hospitals in the country and provides specialty care to patients throughout Arizona and other Southwestern states. In response to the explosive population growth in metropolitan Phoenix region, Phoenix Children’s recently completed a $588 million expansion plan that enables the Hospital to provide essential medical service to our community and world-class care for years to come." http://www.phoenixchildrens.com/
I am so lucky to be part of something that is going to be so amazing . . . I think I have found the perfect job a couple nights a week that will allow me to work the job that I love during during the day.
